Four Export Corridors
Multimodal routes via the KTZ rail network and Caspian Sea ports.
EAST → CHINA
Export lots are dispatched through the Dostyk / Alashankou and Altynkol / Khorgos border crossings — the two main land crossing points on the border with China. Transport is carried out by rail and container.
SOUTH → CENTRAL ASIA
The corridor connects Kazakhstan with Central Asian markets via the Saryagash and Bolashak border crossings. Shipments go to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
WEST → CASPIAN
Export via the Caspian ports of Aktau and Kuryk — a multimodal scheme combining rail transport and a sea leg. The route provides access to the markets of Azerbaijan and Iran.
NORTH → EUROPE & MIDDLE EAST
The northern corridor runs via the RZD rail network to Black Sea and Baltic Sea ports. The route provides access to markets in Europe and the Middle East.
If one direction faces constraints, supply reroutes to an alternative corridor. Multimodality reduces dependence on a single route and a single buyer.
